RWC Warranty Book Updates - New Jersey
RWC has recently updated both the New Jersey Standard Warranty Book (#317) as well as the Day 1 Warranty Book (#313). The new warranty version, dated 1/26, went into effect 4/20/26.
Please refer to the letter you received in the mail for instructions on how to get replacement books, if applicable.

Please include your name, the company name, your builder number, a complete shipping address, and the book you are requesting. (Book numbers can be found on the cover in the lower right-hand corner)

3. BUILDER'S RESPONSIBILITY AND PURCHASER’S RIGHTS: YEARS 1 AND 2
If a defect in your Home arises due to nonconformity with the limited warranty standards during Year 1 of the warranty period set forth in Section C(3), or if a covered defect in your Home’s Cooling, Ventilating, Heating, Electrical, or Plumbing Systems arises due to nonconformity with the limited warranty standards during Years 1 or 2 of the warranty period set forth in Section C(4), the Builder will repair, replace, or pay you the reasonable cost to repair or replace the defective item.
4. (a) In the event of a limited warranty claim, the decision of whether to repair, replace, or pay you the reasonable cost to repair or replace a defective item, is solely the Builder’s or WPMIC’s, as applicable…..
4. (f) In the event the Builder or WPMIC repairs, replaces, or pays you the reasonable cost to repair or replace any defective item covered by this limited warranty, the Builder and WPMIC shall be subrogated to all of your rights of recovery therefore against any person or entity….
5. WPMIC’S RESPONSIBILITY AND PURCHASER’S RIGHTS: YEARS 1 THROUGH 10
If a Major Structural Defect (as defined in Section B of this book) arises in your Home during Years 1 through 10 of the warranty period, WPMIC, at its sole option, will repair, replace, or pay you the reasonable cost to repair or replace the defective item, limited to such actions necessary to restore load-bearing capability to the load-bearing components of the Home and to repair those elements of the Home damaged by the Major Structural Defect.

7. (l.). The written notice of your request for arbitration must be received by the Administrator no later than thirty (30) days following the expiration of the ten year applicable warranty period. However, if you receive notification of an Unresolved Warranty Issue from the Administrator following the expiration of the ten year applicable warranty period, then this period is extended and written notice of your request for arbitration must be received by the Administrator no later than thirty (30) days from the date of your receipt of notification of the Unresolved Warranty Issue.
Note: The same changes above apply to both the Standard and the Day 1 books.
